Gas stoves are wonderful as energy savers, but they contribute greatly to indoor air pollution by emitting nitrogen dioxide.
Do you buy standard liquid dishwashing soap at your local grocery store? Chances are your soap contains chemicals which are absorbed into your hands unless you wear gloves.
Do you use a cutting board for cutting raw meat? Small pieces of the meat can become embedded into it and cause dangerous bacteria.
Use your exhaust fan while cooking. It can help remove most of the hydrocarbons produced from cooking.
Clean the tray under your refrigerator at least 1-2 times a year. You would be surprised at what can grow here if you don't.
Chlorine in your water can damage, skin, eyes and other membranes. In the Clean Air Act, Chlorine was listed as a hazardous air pollutant.
Bleached coffee filters can cause the chlorine to gradually penetrate into your coffee.
Well water should have a water filter. Otherwise, you are at risk for contaminants and bacteria.
Do you have kitchen cabinets or other furniture in home made from particle board? If you do, they are a source of formaldehyde which is a strong odor and carcinogen.
Do you buy standard cleaning products from your local grocery store? Most of them are a huge source of indoor air pollution and toxic.
